What a credit is
Credits pay for the work that costs us money to do: drafting extra titles, writing chapters, and drawing cover artwork. Editing, typesetting, exporting the PDF and hosting the opt-in page are not metered — those are the parts that should never have a meter on them.
What will not change
- No watermark, on any plan, ever.
- No cut of what you earn. If you sell through a storefront, its fee is between you and the storefront.
- Books you have already made stay downloadable whether or not you pay.
- Your subscriber list stays exportable.

- Is CreateEbook free?
- Yes, while it is in beta. Every feature is on, no credit card is asked for, and nothing you export carries a watermark.
- What happens to my books when the beta ends?
- They stay yours and they stay exportable. Anything you have already made can be downloaded as a PDF whether or not you take a paid plan.
- Who owns the ebook I create?
- You do, completely. You supplied the knowledge, you edited the text, and we claim no rights over the result. Sell it, license it, put your own copyright notice in the front matter.
- Can I sell the ebooks I make here?
- Yes. Commercial use is included, and we take no percentage of what you earn. If you sell through Amazon KDP, Gumroad or Payhip, that platform's own fee applies — that part is between you and them.
- What file formats do I get?
- A print-quality PDF with embedded fonts, correct trim size and correct margins, plus a hosted opt-in page at a shareable link. EPUB is not offered: it reflows text and would discard the typesetting the book is for.
- Will you delete my work if I stop paying later?
- No. Books you have made stay yours and stay downloadable. A paid plan buys new work, not access to old work.
- How much will it cost after the beta?
- The plan is a $29 monthly subscription, with credit packs from $29 for 300 credits up to $99 for 2,000 for people who would rather not subscribe. Those numbers are planned rather than live — nothing charges today, and this page will be updated before anything does.
