What you keep, on every plan

  • The book. Every book you make stays yours and stays downloadable, whether you keep paying or not.
  • The money. Sell it for whatever you like. We take no percentage — if you sell through a storefront, its fee is between you and the storefront.
  • The download. Exporting the PDF costs nothing, on every plan, however many times you do it.
  • Your list. The email addresses your opt-in page collects are yours to export.

Money, rights, and what you keep.

What do I get for free?
Fifty credits when you sign up, and no card is asked for. That covers naming the book, shaping its outline, writing every chapter and drawing cover artwork — a real book you export as a print-quality PDF and are free to sell. Free exports carry one line of small type in the footer. How far the 50 goes depends on how much you rework: rewriting a chapter costs a credit, and most people spend a few.
What is a credit?
What you spend as the book gets made: writing the chapters, drafting titles, drawing cover artwork. A whole first book runs about 46. You always see what a step costs before you take it, and your balance is on screen while you work.
Do credits expire?
Plan credits refresh at the start of each billing period — a fresh full balance every month rather than a pile that carries over. Credits bought outright stay good for three months. Your 50 free signup credits never expire at all.
Is there a watermark on my file?
There is one line of small type in the footer — “Made with CreateEbook” — and a matching line at the foot of your opt-in page. Nothing across the artwork, nothing over your writing, and the book still reads and prints properly. It starts on for everybody, because it is how most people find us. On a paid plan you can switch it off in Settings → Branding, and from then on the file is entirely yours with no mention of us anywhere in it.
Who owns the ebook I create?
You do, completely. You supplied the knowledge, you edited the text, and we claim no rights over the result. Sell it, license it, put your own copyright notice in the front matter.
Can I sell the ebooks I make here?
Yes. Commercial use is included on every plan and we take no percentage of what you earn. If you sell through Amazon KDP, Gumroad or Payhip, that platform's own fee applies — that part is between you and them.
What happens if I stop paying?
Books you have made stay yours and stay downloadable. A plan buys new work, not access to old work. Your subscriber list stays exportable too.
What file formats do I get?
Two files and a page. A print-quality PDF with embedded fonts, correct trim size and correct margins; a reflowable EPUB for phones and e-readers; and a hosted opt-in page at a shareable link. The PDF keeps the layout the book was designed with, the EPUB gives that up so the text fits whatever somebody is reading on, and Amazon will only take the second. You can download both without an account; a subscription is what opens every chapter rather than the first two, and a book you wrote while subscribed stays open afterwards.
