01
Decide what you will sell
You choose one product or service and commit to it for the month.
You are reading this because you have no audience, no product and no clear idea which of the two to fix first. That is the right problem to have at the start, because the order matters and most people get it backwards. They build a following first, then ask that following what to sell them, and they waste a year gathering strangers who never wanted anything from them. You will not do that. You will pick one thing to sell this month, and you will sell it to ten people you already know.
Take a sheet of paper and write down three ways you could make money this month. The first option must be a service you can deliver in your existing job or trade, the second a small physical or digital product you can create from what you already have, and the third an offer you could make to a specific person you know by name. Spend no more than twenty minutes on this. The point is to find the least worst idea you can finish in four weeks, and the faster you write the list, the sooner you stop drifting.
Now cross out the second and third options. Keep the first one, the service, because it has the shortest path to a payment. A coaching call, a spreadsheet cleanup, a set of five tailored meal plans, a two-hour audit of someone's small business website: any service where you do a defined piece of work for a named person and they hand you a fixed fee. If you cannot think of one, ask yourself what your colleagues or neighbours keep asking you to help them with, and write that down.
